So, I've got a couple little pony-related tidbits to share. On the agenda: Comics and Toys.
So, I've got a couple little pony-related tidbits to share. On the agenda: Comics and Toys.
I want to plug a couple of Pillar-centric fanfics that haven't gotten very many views or likes despite being well-written and thought-provoking. I think the only reason I saw them was that they showed up in my Pillars of Equestria group feed.
So.... I've been behind on watching season 7 by several episodes, due to the fact that I still hadn't gotten around to watching To Where and Back Again. Yeah. But I did get to that, and I've been catching up, and I did just recently finish Campfire Tales, and I wanted to share some quick thoughts about it and other related subjects.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Let’s see how much luck Stygian has with assembling the superteam of pony antiquity.
We reach the halfway point of the Legends of Magic series by covering the last two remembered Pillars (as opposed to Stygian, Pillar of Logistics. Thanks, Shadow Lock.) Let’s begin.
We return to the Legends of Magic miniseries, with the other two "Campfire Tales" lead-up issues. Let's see what tales lie forgotten.
In this final week before we go back to long-form animation for a while, we conclude the story of the young trainer Stygian as he tries to assemble a Ponymon team capable of taking on a legendary trio.
What? He is putting together a group of six.
Quick reminder, the submission period for Imposing Sovereigns II ends at this coming midnight! If your story is still in the submission queue when the clock strikes twelve, send me a PM with an image of it.
Now for your regularly scheduled horse cards.
This week, we begin our look at the most notable example of integration between the comics and the show, so much so that those who actually read the former were astonished to see some focus characters mentioned in “Campfire Tales.” Of course, that doesn’t mean there’s a one-to-one correspondence. Let’s begin at the beginning.
As noted yesterday, we have three weeks until the return of longer-form pony animation. That’s exactly enough time to review the rest of the Legends of Magic miniseries, excepting the annual, so I’m taking the opportunity. Let us begin the Tragedy of Darth Stygian the Wise…
So, after my initial review of "Horse Play" and steaming my brain with the thoughts Celestia's Onesversary brought up in me, here are my afterthoughts on it..... Which I had to split into three parts, this episode is an unexpected goldmine of interesting things to dig through!
Here is Part 1 of them:
"Horse Play" aired and with it, the Student Six returned onto the screen! And even though they were confined to the background, this episode got me very excited because of something else:
Thanks to Pinkie Pie, we got informed how long ago it was exactly since Celestia raised the sun for the first time!
